Our Impact

The Daviess County Food Bank is housed within the Gallatin Adventist Community Services Center in Gallatin, Missouri.  The Thrift Store is also housed within the Center’s complex. The Thrift Store receives donated clothing, furniture and household items which are sorted and sold. The proceeds from the Thrift Store support the Food Bank and fund an emergency assistance program.  The Community Center complex also offers a venue for community group meetings.

The Food Bank is a valuable resource for the residents of Daviess County, Missouri.

In an average month approximately 200 households are served at the Food Bank. The Food Bank distributes food received from a range of government and state programs, as well as donations and assistance from individuals or non-government agencies. Qualifying households may receive government commodities, participate in a special supplementation program for seniors or have access to Emergency Food Assistance.  These resources are offered for Daviess County residents.
